Maria Alquilar, Idiot

An artist is paid $40,000 to construct a ceramic mural for a library in Livermore, California. The ugly mural, however, contains numerous mispellings of famous names. 'Einstein,' for example is spelled 'Eistein.' That's a tough name to spell, isn't it? I wonder what would have happened if the chess players Znosko-Borovsky and Bonch-Osmolovsky had been included in the mural.

Now you might think that the 'artist' would fix the mistakes for free. Unbelievably, the city has agreed to pay her an additional $6,000 for the repairs. Unbelievable. And she doesn't understand what all the fuss is about.
