The Daily Howler

I wrote in response to John W. Perry:

"Your rhetoric is heating up as your letter proceeds, and now you are coming close to slandering your opponents. Not good, but it is a liberal-leftist tactic."

John Gallagher responds:

Yes, a tactic often employed by those liberal leftists Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter. After accusing your opponents of lowering the quality of the debate to invective, then proceed to slander them and paint them all with a broad brush. Never let facts get in the way of your ad hominems.

For some prime examples see the Daily Howler here and here.

But I agree, the quality of an idea shouldn't be judged by the hypocrisy of some of its adherents.
